The Pre-School adheres to the DfES Code of Practice
on the Identification and Assessment of Special Educational Needs,
and will consider how best it can provide a welcome and appropriate
learning opportunity for all children with special needs.
By supporting the parents of children with special needs, the Pre-School
hopes to reinforce the principle of the parents as the Prime Educators
and to ease their journey through an often confusing and complicated
time.
The Pre-School employs a Special Educational Needs Coordinator
(SENCO) who, along with support workers and the Playleader,
work closely with the parents and children. |
