OFSTED (Office For STandards in EDucation)
This Government body is responsible for the inspection
of providers of Early Years Development and Childcare.
The Pre-school was one of the first local providers
to be inspected (January 1997) and approved. The Pre-school works
hard to maintain the high level of standards required for continuing
OFSTED approval.
Copies of our most recent OFSTED report are available on request.
Bournemouth Quality Standards (BQS) for Early Education and Care
In 2007, Barbara Rose was awarded full BQS accreditation after successfully completing all eight modules of the quality-assurance scheme managed by the Early Years Service within Bournemouth Borough Council.

The eight modules within the scheme are as follows:
1. Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures
2. Belonging and Connecting
3. Being and Becoming
4. Contributing and Participating
5. Being Active and Expressing
6. Thinking, Imagining and Understanding
7. The Practitioner's Role in Early Learning
8. Leadership, Management and Staff Development
Childcare providers who complete the award show that they are committed to raising standards and improving the quality of care they provide for children.
Bournemouth Healthy Early Years
Barbara Rose is happy to have been awarded the Healthy Early Years (HEY) accreditation. The award recognises the support given to the children in the areas of emotional health, healthy eating and physical activity.

Pre-school Learning Alliance (PSLA)
Barbara Rose supports the PSLA both locally and nationally.
Registered Charity No. 1068225
On 14 January 1998 it was agreed to establish the
Pre-school as an unincorporated association by the adoption of a
Constitution.
This then allowed the Pre-school to seek registration as a charity
which was granted in February 1998.
